Our team is invested in providing an engaging educational experience for all who want to learn how to care for newborns and/or receive CPR/AED certification (e.g., expecting parents, grandparents, caregivers, teens, groups or organizations). Unlike hospital’s classes other private classes, all of our instructors are licensed medical providers, with expertise in maternal and newborn care and have advance training to provide quality education and help better prepare you for any situation.
The Nested educational team includes licensed medical experts — doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, labor and delivery nurses, midwives, physical therapists, and reproductive health nurses.
We know that pregnancy, labor, the hospital setting, and the early days of a baby’s life can be overwhelming, even anxiety provoking, for expecting parents. Our team of licensed medical experts and educators promotes a casual, non-judgmental and safe learning environment. This relaxed manner allows clients to share their concerns and also affords them the opportunity to absorb invaluable education material.
At Nested, we welcome new and experienced parents including LGBTQAI+ families, adoptive and foster parents, as well as friends, caregivers, nannies, and grandparents.
Our Classes
Nested’s course curricula is continually adapting and being updated to ensure it is kept up-to-date with current medical care and healthcare trends. All of our classes emphasize wellness and preventive measures for the overall health of parents-to-be, significant others, adoptive and foster parents, grandparents, babies, siblings, and caretakers.
Our Childbirth Education (CBE) Bootcamp Class helps clients feel equipped with what to expect in their third trimester, how to identify labor signs and resources to help them in the postpartum period.
Our Newborn & Infant Care with CPR Certification (NBCPR) Bootcamp Class helps clients by learning about normal infant appearance, as well as common infant illnesses, when to call your pediatrician and practical skills (e.g., diapering, swaddling, feeding, bathing, and techniques to calm a baby). It also includes education for you to become equipped to prevent and treat any life-threatening choking or newborn cardiovascular event by receiving hands-on instruction and practice in infant rescue techniques. The CPR certification portion is in a blended learning class format & consists of a self-paced, interactive online session to be taken in the convenience of your home, followed by an in-person, hands-on skills training and discussion session during the class with one of Nested’s certified American Red Cross instructors.
Our American Red Cross Pediatric & Adult CPR/Choking Prevention/First Aid/AED certification course in a blended learning class format to help clients learn the latest life-saving skills and train in the way that suits you best. This course is ideal for healthcare & childcare professionals, adults, teens, parents, grandparents, and siblings to help prepare you to recognize and respond to a variety of breathing and cardiac emergencies involving babies, children and adults. The CPR certification portion is in a blended learning class format & consists of a self-paced, interactive online session to be taken in the convenience of your home, followed by an in-person, hands-on skills training and discussion session during the class with one of Nested’s certified American Red Cross instructors.
Our American Red Cross Comprehensive BABYSITTING class with Pediatric & Adult CPR/Choking Prevention/First Aid/AED certification in a blended learning class format to learn and practice the latest life-saving skills and basic childcare techniques. It consists of a self-paced, interactive online session to be taken in the convenience of your home, followed by an in-person, hands-on skills training and discussion session with one of Nested’s certified American Red Cross instructors. This course is ideal for teens and young adults (for 7th graders and above) to help prepare them to recognize and respond to a variety of breathing and cardiac emergencies involving babies, children and adults. In addition to learning life saving techniques, clients will learn the business side of babysitting, including determining fees, marketing, interviewing families and more.
