Alexandra Lee recently completed her freshman year at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. She is pursuing an Advanced Diploma and, as a Spanish Immersion student, is committed to achieving a high level of bilingual proficiency. Her goals include earning the Virginia Department of Education’s Seal of Biliteracy in 11th grade and the Embassy of Spain’s Certificate of Excellence in 12th grade.
Alexandra is passionate about ensuring all children have equitable access to education and healthcare. During the 2025 Project Nido Medical Mission in Ecuador, she took a leadership role in the children’s area by organizing materials, creating engaging activities, and supervising young children who often waited hours to receive medical care.
Summer 2026 will mark Alexandra’s third year volunteering with Project Nido Medical Mission. Recognizing the critical need for dental care in rural Ecuador, she is leading a community-wide dental hygiene donation drive to provide essential supplies to families served by the mission. In addition, she is coordinating a stuffed animal donation drive to provide comfort and emotional support to children as they receive dental care.
Alexandra also loves to take care of her numerous pets, play competitive sports and spend time with her family and friends!
