When should I take the classes?

We recommend taking the Childbirth Education (CBE) class on the earlier side (24-39 weeks) and the Newborn Care/CPR later in the pregnancy after 30 weeks – mainly because we review what happens after the baby is delivered and through the first year. We find taking it closer to the due date helps keep this info “fresher” and top of mind.

Can I bring my partner to class?

Yes! The course price includes attendance for 2 people; yourself, your partner, a grandparent or friend.

How are the “boot camp” classes different from the other courses?

Our boot camp classes are an exciting addition to our initial course offerings. They benefit parents (and their helpers) who want a more in depth and comprehensive review of childbirth and infant care. We offer a boot camp version of the childbirth education class and newborn care and infant CPR class. The boot camps are held on Saturdays and include an additional 2-3 hours of content. Boot camps include special sessions with local professionals who share their expertise such as physical therapists teaching pregnancy ergonomics and doulas reviewing breathing techniques. The classes include a break for lunch, a certificate of completion and as well as a special gift for your baby. Check out our course overview page for more details on each boot camp class.

Can I reschedule a class?

Yes, if you need to reschedule a class please contact us and let us know which class you would like to take instead.  There will be a $25 rescheduling fee.  If you need to reschedule and it is less than 7 days prior to the class you will be charged the full amount of the class unless we can find another client to fill your spot.

Can I cancel a class?

Yes, if you need to cancel a class, the course fee minus a $50 processing fee.  This can be done 7 days prior to the scheduled class. At Nested LLC we do understand that medical circumstances happen last minute- bedrest, illness and possibly even delivery of your baby!  If something like that occurs (and it is less than 7 days) we’d like try to reschedule you or reimburse you half of your class fee. The remainder of your fee would used for our IRIS ISABEL Scholarship Fund to help others in the DC area take our educational classes.  Please contact us contact us to cancel.

Is there a wait list?

If you are interested in taking a class that is currently full please send us a message here with your preferred class and date. We will keep you informed if anyone reschedules or cancels. We also offer private sessions for all of our classes to meet your scheduling needs! Click here for more information.

Why are all the Newborn Care and Infant CPR classes on Saturday and always at the Chevy Chase office?

We have realized it is ideal to have this course on the weekends because it is an active class that is best done when we are all well-rested and ready to practice chest compressions! The Chevy Chase office is easily accessible on the weekends without traffic and with ample parking nearby.

Can I submit the class fee for reimbursement if I have a Flexible Spending Account?

For Flexible Spending Account documentation please refer to your class receipt that is emailed to you after signing up, after you complete the class you will receive a letter indicating the importance of Childbirth, Breastfeeding, Newborn Care and Infant CPR education for new parents and recieve a letter of completion including Nested’s LLC address and Tax information and ICD-10 codes.

Nested LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that are below capacity to maintain course quality.
